The TMS320C6670AXCYP2 is a digital signal processor (DSP) from Texas Instruments (TI) for embedded applications. The processor is based on the TMS320C6670 DSP CoreArx DSP Core and provides two PowerPC units and 4 GBytes of DDR2 memory for efficient multi-threaded processing. The processor is a high-performance, low-power processor designed for applications such as digital imaging, industrial automation, audio and video.

The processor is capable of executing multiple functions simultaneously and providing 48 GB/s memory bandwidth to support multiple tasks. The ARMs and UDMs execute the Control Flow instructions and Data Manipulation instructions correspondingly. The RCC and VDB provide error control coding and related operations such as Turbo-codes, GLDs, FECCs and more. Five of the function units are dual-element capable for high performance for wide range of applications.

In addition to 32-bit instruction capability and 128-bit internal data path, the processor supports advanced on-chip peripherals such as UARTs, SPI, I2C, DMA, Ethernet 10/100/1000, WLAN, USB 2.0, etc. It also includes VEOS, the embedded operating system with real-time embedded drivers. VEOS is a compact, portable OS and is built in C and C++. It offers a wide range of programmable control solutions and allows software developers to customize their own embedded solutions with support for Intel and PowerPC architecture.
