The TMS320C6678ACYPA is an embedded, digital signal processor (DSP) manufactured by Texas Instruments and used in a variety of applications, including communications, multimedia, medical imaging, industrial control and automotive. The C6678 DSP, designated C66x CorePac, is based on Texas Instruments’ VLIW architecture. The C6678 employs up to eight 32-bit velocity engines in parallel, configured to issue up to 816 instructions per clock cycle with 1- or 2-cycle per instruction latency.
