The TMS320C6743CZKB3 is a ‘Harvard’ architecture DSP which means that it has separate memory and buses for instructions and data. The DSPs instruction memory consists of two 32-bit synchronous random access memories (SRAMs) and is capable of executing instructions in parallel with data fetches from main memory. This feature is known as dual access. The 32K-bit SRAMs are divided into 4K bytes of instruction and data memory. They can be configured to operate as either 1K bytes of instruction and 3K bytes of data, or 1K bytes of data and 3K bytes of instruction memory.

The TMS320C6743CZKB3 also features a 128-bit-wide data path that is capable of handling 8, 16 and 32-bit data.
