The TPC-125 series is a UL-Listed, specialized, medium-voltage current-limiting fuse. It is designed to provide the maximum fuse protection in input lines and neutral bus separation applications in medium-voltage switchgear. It is commonly used in medium-voltage electronic protective relays, gauges, meters, and circuit breakers. The fuse limits fault currents and prevents them from causing extensive damage to downstream equipment.

The TPC-125 series fuses are designed to initiate an arc and increase its current-limiting capabilities. The fuse consists of an external arc chamber, a high-pressure carbon arc tube, and an internal contact bridge assembly. All of these components are contained within an external, stainless-steel, threaded housing.

The fuse is rated for a maximum fault current of 25 kA RMS symmetrical at a range of operating voltages. The TPC-125 is capable of handling both AC and DC currents of up to 482 A per pole. It is available in both open and closed fuses, and two enclosure sizes.

The TPC-125 series fuse operates singularly or in series with other fuses. It is designed to act as an uninterrupted low-resistance current path and dissipate fault currents quickly and safely.
