TPS-60 Application Field and Working Principle

Due to its 3/8-inch diameter and self-wrapping sleeve, the TPS-60 is perfect for tight spaces that would be difficult to protect with other fuse types.

Working Principle

The TPS-60 works by preventing an overcurrent from exceeding its current rating. When the TPS-60 detects an overcurrent, it will immediately open the circuit and disconnect the power source from the downstream equipment. The TPS-60 is designed with a self-resetting feature, allowing it to reset after a fault condition has been resolved. This is a major advantage over traditional fuse designs, which require manual intervention when the fuse opens. The self-resetting feature of the TPS-60 also minimizes downtime by ensuring that the circuit can be restored as soon as possible.
