TPS65132BEVMis a power management integrated step-down solution designed for low-power wearable applications. It is an advanced power management evaluation board, designed to enable quick and easy evaluation of several features in the TPS65132A and TPS65132B devices. This board provides a convenient platform to the users for the evaluation of the TPS65132A/B. The TPS65132BEVM consists of two power management, high-power, multi-channel DC/DC converters, and two high-current linear regulators in a single package. The TPS65132A/B also provides a high-current output voltage boost capability when used with an external inductor. The TPS65132BEVM is suitable for use in wearable applications, such as fitness trackers, smart bands, GPS trackers, and other battery-powered portable applications. The board also provides an excellent evaluation platform for the TPS65132A/B devices, which offer high-efficiency programmable step-down converters, capable of delivering up to 15A output current with high-accuracy output voltage regulation. The integrated circuitry also enables low quiescent current consumption (just 4μA in auto-sleep mode) which helps extend battery life. The TPS65132BEVM can accept input voltage range from 2.3 V to 5.5 V and provides two regulated output voltages, one adjustable from 0.9 V to 3.3 V (VOUT1) and the other from 1.2 V to 3.7V (VOUT2). The adjustable output voltage of VOUT1 can be set using the base voltage of the external N-channel MOSFET while the base voltage of the internal P–N transistor pair of VOUT2 can be adjusted by using the voltage divider resistors. The board has an adjustable power saving output, which can help extend the battery life of the system. The integrated inductor-less architecture further helps reduce design complexity and cost.
