Working Principle

The TSOP4536 consists of an infrared photodiode integrated with a wide-angle diffuser. The emitted radiation is proportional to the intensity of the infrared light from an external optical source. The electrical current is then amplified by an on-chip operational amplifier and can be used to drive TTL logic circuits.
