Remote Receiver is a type of Photo Detector, by combining the infrared light-emitting diode and the infrared photodiode to receive or transmit infrared signals, allowing two or more electronic devices to communicate with each other with infrared signal. And TSOP75238WTR is one of the remote receivers.

TSOP75238WTR is a kind of remote receiver with integrated antenna, designed for general remote control systems in automobiles, home appliances and consumer electronic goods. It is a single channel, push-pull output remote control sensor IC, and can be operated with a variety of infra-red modulation codes. The device has a valid sensing range of up to 10 meters. The sensory cell in TSOP75238WTR consists of a PIN photodiode and an integrated pre-amplifier which forms a transimpedance amplifier.
