TSW-108-17-L-D is a type of Rectangular Connectors, namely Headers, Male Pins, which is widely used in various kinds of application fields such as the consumer electronics, telecommunications, automotive, medical, and industrial control. It is a high-density male header with 1.27mm pitch and 17 positions suitable to terminate Ribbon Cable specimens. There are many special features making it perfect for various applications.

TSW-108-17-L-D mainly offers features such us its robust construction and using specialized double-spring pins provide excellent contact with ribbon cable for durability and inserting the ribbon in order to lock the connection without the need of any screws. In the consumer electronics, it is ideal for digital audio/video; DVI, HDMI, mini-plug, etc. For telecommunications, it is suitable for USB2.0, IEEE1394/Firewire/S100 and HSSDC2/mini-SAS connectors. In the automotive, for security and automotive electronics, it is suitable for automotive vehicle management systems like infotainment and communications, as well as vehicle monitoring and control systems. In medical applications, it is ideal for medical electronics for medical control modules like bio-monitoring systems. Finally, in industrial control, it is suitable for industrial control electronics related devices such as robotic arms, sensors control boards, etc. Furthermore, with its special characteristics, it is also designed to be durable and reliable, even under operating temperatures up to 105℃.

Working Principle:

The working principle of the TSW-108-17-L-D is relatively simple yet effective. It works by connecting multiple device pins into one single socket through a single connection and it can be cut, modified or customized in accordance with the consumer’s requirement. The pins can be used to provide power, data, and audio/video signals, depending on the need of the application. With its double-spring pins, it also features a reliable connection with the ribbon cable that ensures an increased lifetime of the connection. The TSW-108-17-L-D can also offer a maximum of 9 different configurations of Row-to-Row and Column-to-Column connections, depending upon the application’s needs. It is further designed with mounting plates that provide additional support and stability for the circuit boards.
