The TUSB8040A1EVM implements a reference system specifically designed for USB 3.1 type-C / USB PD applications. This allows designers to quickly integrate their design with the TUSB8040 USB 3.1 type-C / USB PD controller. The TUSB8040A1EVM also provides basic platform support which enables a quick start with new and existing designs.The TUSB8040A1EVM allows designers to validate their designs quickly and easily. The TUSB8040A1EVM also provides access to the full range of features of the USB 3.1 type-C / USB PD controller. This includes features such as power delivery, data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps, dynamic voltage scaling, multiple USB Power Delivery profiles, USB 2.0 and 3.0 support, and more.To support the evaluation of the TUSB8040 USB 3.1 type-C / USB PD controller, the TUSB8040A1EVM features a power and status indicator, programmable Vbus voltage, an over-current/short-circuit protection circuit, and a jumper for selection of power delivery or data transfer mode. The TUSB8040A1EVM also has a USB 3.0 Type-A port, two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, as well as a set of digital and analog I/O pins.The TUSB8040A1EVM is designed to provide designers with a complete system solution for their USB 3.1 type-C / PD applications.
