ULCD-24PTU-AR is a 24-pin resistive LCD module featuring resistive touch panel. Manufactured by Display-Vision, it has a resolution of 240×320 QVGA with 65K colors. The module is 70.6mm x 53.98mm in size and has an active display area of 60mm x 45mm. The module includes a driver IC, several capacitors, and a display board.

Working Principle

The ULCD-24PTU-AR has a 24-pin resistive touch panel employed with a resistive film and flexible glass. This design operates by recording contact or near contact and acquiring x,y coordinates of the contacting position. Two layers create a voltage divider in the X/Y direction and one layer receives the energy required to sense the contact. Both layers are joined together by pressure, and a voltage is generated to precisely detect the contact. The voltage detection is connected to the FPC connector and the integrated controller converts the analog signals to digital signals.
