The ULCD-28PTU-AR is a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) module from 4D Systems, a leading provider of innovative display solutions from embedded platforms. The display has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and a 64K color depth.The ULCD-28PTU-AR is available with either a 4- or 8-bit interface allowing the user to select their preferred operating mode. The 8-bit interface is compatible with the most popular graphic display controllers and supports 8 colors with the ability to come up with a total of 262,144 colors. On the other hand, the 4-bit interface supports 262,144 colors and allows the user to display a series of static images in various colors.The ULCD-28PTU-AR features an RGB connector and a serial RS232 connection for transmitting data to and from the display. Both interfaces have adjustable contrast and brightness settings which can be used to adjust the display depending on the environment in which it is used.Apart from the PAR display and RGB connector, the ULCD-28PTU-AR also features an integrated touch panel. The touch panel allows the user to interact with the display without the need for a separate input device.
