The UMFT220XB-NC Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit is an essential component in the development and demonstration of a variety of applications. This evaluation board enables you to evaluate, characterize and extend your own designs using the built-in NXP\'s Universal Motor Control IC. The UMFT220XB-NC Evaluation Board is equipped with the NXP UMFT220XB-NC motor control IC. This single die IC includes multiple features required to build a motor control system. The NXP UMFT220XB-NC is a fully integrated integrated solution that can control Brushed DC, Brushless DC, or Stepper motors with a single die. It has 32-bit Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for efficient motion control algorithms, analog and digital peripherals, integrated 7A motor drivers, and a dedicated DO bridge circuit. The result is a cost-effective and highly integrated motor control solution that reduces design time and complexity.
The UMFT220XB-NC Evaluation Board features all of the components required to evaluate and demonstrate many of the features of the NXP Universal Motor Control IC. The board also comes with a lab kit containing various components such as DC motors, encoders, power transistors, gate drivers, rectifiers, bearings, and various other parts used in motor control applications. This lab kit allows developers to quickly set up and evaluate a wide range of motor control applications.
The design of the board is open source, allowing software developers to move beyond the basic functionality provided by the board and customize the hardware to meet their specific requirements.
