USB3-VIP-EVN is an Evaluation Board used for conducting quick testing and experiments on many new generation products like USB3, HDMI, DP etc. It is integrated with multiple USB3 lanes that are backward compatible with USB2.0/1.x and USB PD (Power delivery) features. The evaluation board is commonly used for debugging and evaluation of various applications which require high speed connectivity and compliant with the USB3.0/2.0/1.x protocol.

The USB3-VIP-EVN Evaluation Board is made up of a USB3/2.0 switch, which helps to manage the data flow of multiple devices connected to the same USB3 port. It has two HDMI ports for displaying the content of the connected device and two USB3 ports which provide fast data travel of up to 5Gbps (5 gigabytes per second). Apart from this, the board also has two DP ports (DisplayPort) which facilitates audio as well as video data transmission from the connected device. All the ports are compliant with the USB3.0, 2.0 and 1.x specifications.

The board’s main features include: a 4 lane C11T22A pin configurator module, which allows adjusting the differential signaling voltage level of all the ports; Power Delivery (PD) features, which enable the board with PD support; 2 different USB3 ports (type A and type B), 4 lane high speed expansion connectors, and more. It also has a built-in dual-channel USB3 Transceiver Module (TRM) which helps in the management of multiple lanes in the same port.

The USB3-VIP-EVN Evaluation Board works on the principle of multiplexing technology and is capable of taking various types of input signals from multiple sources and process them at once. The board is designed to handle input signals from different sources, such as multiple USB3.2, HDMI, DP and other devices, and then process them in parallel for better performance. By multiplexing the signals in a single lane, the board increases data transmission speed by nearly four times that of USB2.0/1.x.

The board is especially suitable for applications such as: capturing data from multiple cameras for streaming content, sharing data between different devices connected with USB, and serving multiple game consoles with multiple screen devices. In addition, the board can be also used to create a sharing network connected with multiple computers, allowing them to access any data from the same source.
