Varistors, MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors), and TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressors) are all components designed to provide a high level of protection from voltage transients. These transients can potentially destroy circuits, but TVS components can protect against these surges.

The V150LC10AP (Alternate P/N V150WD10) is a metal oxide varistor (or MOV), a form of TVS component. It is specifically designed to protect against voltage spikes.
