The V28A12M200BN2 is an off-line DC/DC converters designed for applications requiring very wide input ranges, as well as those requiring exceptional output voltage accuracy and low power losses. This highly efficient converter runs from a wide input voltage range and features an output rating of 30A, 12V. With its low quiescent current and low switching frequency, it is an ideal solution for many industrial and automotive applications.

The V28A12M200BN2 synchronous buck converter is designed with a selectable synchronous switch design that can be set to get maximum efficiency, minimum power loss, or maximize component size. The features of V28A12M200BN2 makes this an ideal power conversion solution for applications including: adjustable switched-mode power supplies, automotive power systems, industrial automation, and consumer electronics.

The V28A12M200BN2 is a full bridge switching regulator made up of two distinct parts: a main controller and a bridge circuit. The controller regulates the output voltage of the converter by establishing a given frequency at which the bridge circuit oscillates. The controller also contains other circuit elements such as rectifiers, power transistors and filters. Meanwhile, the bridge circuit consists of two transistors; One connected to the power supply and the other connected to the load, and four diodes which act as the current-limiting elements in the Buck converter.

The V28A12M200BN2 utilizes pulse-width modulation (PWM) to control its output voltage through the use of a voltage reference.
