The V300LC4P Varistor series is an application and working principle, based on variations of varistor voltage range, size, and packaging. It is suitable for a variety of applications in AC, DC and AC/DC power circuits, automotive systems and home appliances. The V300LC4P is an advanced surge protection device designed for protection from DC and AC power line impulses.

A Varistor consists of many metal layers sandwiched together between two plates, which act like a variable resistor.
