The term TVS stands for Transient Voltage Suppression. The purpose of these TVS devices is to protect electronic components from high voltage transient events, such as inductive switching, lightning, or electrostatic discharge. We can also refer this devices as Varistors, MOVs, and snubbers.

V33ZA20P is a particular type of TVS that is used to provide a low cost, low power protection to several electronic components.
