DC to DC converters are used in applications which require a DC output from a DC input, or when multiple outputs of different voltage levels are required, or when changes in signal inversion are required. They are also used in applications such as variable speed drives, uninterruptable power supplies, and in telecommunication systems.The VE-2NT-IX is a high efficiency, low standby current, wide operating temperature range converter module which is designed for use in multiple output, isolated DC-DC power solutions. It features an isolated input structure, a wide operating temperature range, and high efficiency up to 90%, making it suitable for a variety of applications.The VE-2NT-IX is based on a high frequency, pulse width modulation (PWM) technology. It has two isolated DC-DC converter channels that operate independently from each other, with separate outputs and sharing a single input. The input voltage is configured using a single termination wire and is adjustable via a potentiometer. The VE-2NT-IX can also be used to provide multiple voltages from a single input, with the correct termination wire configuration. The VE-2NT-IX has a high efficiency design which makes it suitable for use in applications where high power dissipation is required. It also features a low standby current which enables more efficient operation with low stand by current in excess of 20%, while also providing better performance at low loads.The working principle behind the VE-2NT-IX is based on the application of an oscillator which produces a high frequency PWM signal.
