The Vicor VE-B11-EV is a DC DC Converter designed to efficiently convert low-voltage DC inputs to higher-voltage DC outputs with minimal power loss. It utilizes Vicor’s high-speed power conversion technology for increased efficiency and offers a wide input voltage range from 9 to 36V, providing an output voltage of 12V with a maximum power of 11A. The device also has a number of protection features, such as Undervoltage Lockout, Input Current Limit, Output Overvoltage Protection, and Over-Temperature Shutdown. Additionally, the VE-B11-EV is designed to operate in both Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) and Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM). In CCM, it provides a regulated output ideal for applications with low light-load efficiency requirements, while in DCM it offers improved light-load efficiency ideal for applications with high light-load efficiency requirements. To top it off, the unit is equipped with a 3.3V and 5V low-power outputs for logic and control circuits, as well as a power enable control signal for system synchronization and a built-in trim capability that allows the output voltage to be easily adjusted. With its combination of high-speed power conversion technology and advanced features, the VE-B11-EV makes it an ideal choice for a variety of applications.
