DC-DC converters have become an essential component in practically all electronic and electrical systems applications. VE-B1Y-EY-S is a non-isolated DC-DC step down voltage converter module. It can step down lengthy input voltages into many output voltage levels, suitable for different types of electronic and electrical apparatus. The working principle of VE-B1Y-EY-S converter is simple. It starts with a wide input voltage range. These active and passive components together are utilized to reduce the supply voltage. This DC-DC converter has an integrated switch controller and power FET, with some drive control and protection circuits. When a voltage is applied, the switch is turned on and off at a certain percentage of time due to the control of the PWM controller. As a result, the average current passing through the switch is measured and the output voltage is calculated accordingly, with the help of the current sense resistor and detected by the feedback pin. Thus, this type of switching converter can easily and efficiently convert input DC voltage to the desired output voltage.
