DC-DC converters are electrical devices used to transfer electric power from one source to another. The VE-B3B-EV DC-DC converter is a three-phased bipolar bridge converter, developed for the Energy Storage in Electrical Vehicles (EV) industry. It has a wide operating range between 12V and 350V, with a wide output range and a high efficiency of up to 92%. The working principle of the VE-B3B-EV DC-DC converter is based on the buck or boost topology. When Vin is greater than Vout, the power switch in the buck converter is turned on and direct current (DC) is transferred from the negative terminal of the input to the positive terminal of the output. Conversely, when Vin is lower than Vout, the power switch in the boost converter is turned on and DC is transferred from the positive terminal of the input to the negative terminal of the output. Thus, the maximum output voltage of the VE-B3B-EV DC-DC converter can be determined by the buck or boost gain, G, and the input voltage, Vin.

The VE-B3B-EV DC-DC converter is designed to provide a high efficiency over its entire operating range.
