It has a wide input voltage range (10-60V) which can support both in-vehicle and off-the grid applications, enabling the system to power mobile and stationary telecom systems without the need for an AC source. Additionally, it provides a high power density up to 1.6W/cc, which helps to reduce board size and the number of components, resulting in cost savings.The VE-B3T-IW-B1 features buck-based topology for steady output with high efficiency up to 94%. Its wide input range can handle transient input voltage occurring in mobile applications. It also offers a wide operating temperature range of -40℃ ~ +85℃ with an adjustable output voltage via external resistive dividers, making it ideal for custom designed applications.The VE-B3T-IW-B1 uses the buck based topology to amplify the source voltage and reduce the output voltage. Buck converters provide relatively low noise, good line-load regulation, a high degree of efficiency, and are step-down-only type converters, making them ideal for applications that require a stable low voltage output. The VE-B3T-IW-B1 consists of a switching power section, a control logic section, an opto-coupler feedback circuit, and an internal shutdown circuit.The switching power section is made up of an input inductor, a high-frequency switching output transistor, and a free-wheeling diode. The switching output transistor receives PWM pulses from the control logic section, which turns-on and off as per the commands received. During the on-state of the switching transistor, the VE-B3T-IW-B1 draws energy from the input line and stores it in the input inductor. This energy is then transferred to the output terminal when the switching transistor is off. The current to the output is regulated using a control signal provided by the opto-coupler feedback circuit. This feedback signal helps the control circuit to adjust the pulse width of the switching transistor to maintain the desired output voltage.In addition, VE-B3T-IW-B1 has an internal shutdown circuit to protect the converter from faults when the output voltage deviates from the specified set-point. It also has an over temperature protection circuit to protect the output voltage from overheating.The VE-B3T-IW-B1 is a versatile, highly efficient and cost-effective power solution that provides a wide range of power solutions for off-the-grid applications.
