The first is a linear regulator which maintains the output voltage, while the second is a PWM modulator which adjusts the voltage depending on the load current. The VE-B42-MU-F4 also includes features to protect the device and the application from over current and over-temperature conditions. In the event of these conditions, the converter will automatically shut down, then restart again once the conditions are resolved.The VE-B42-MU-F4 is a versatile and reliable DC to DC converter that is suitable for a wide range of applications.
