The working principle of VE-B4B-IY converter is based on the concept of pulse width modulation (PWM). This type of converter generates a rectangular pulse pattern with an adjustable duty cycle to create a voltage gain. To gain higher voltage control accuracy, the converter used a predefined isolated duty cycle high frequency switching technology, which generates high-frequency square-wave pulses to act as the input control of the power switch. The duty cycle of these pulses is adjusted actively according to the input voltage and current. Both inductor and capacitor can be used to achieve the power conversion.The main components of this converter are a pulse-width modulation oscillator, input voltage feedback loop, voltage regulation loop, output current and voltage sensing circuit and output rectifier circuit. The working process is as below:First of all, the PWM oscillator will set up a PWM signal which is proportional to the input voltage. The signal then controls the power switch to modulate the current frequency to match the input voltage. Then, the synchronous rectifier in the output current sensing and voltage regulation loop will sense the output current and voltage. When there is an overload, it will return a signal to the oscillator, and when the current is under the rated value, the oscillator will return a signal to the power switch to increase the energy transfer rate to maintain the output current. Finally, the output rectifiers in this DC-DC converter will rectify the high frequency AC waveforms from the inverter to the DC which can be used to drive the load.In terms of applications, this type of DC-DC converters can be widely used in a variety of applications, such as automotive power supply, industrial control, medical equipment, power tools and renewable energy systems.
