It consists of an inductor, a diode, a capacitor and two transistors. The main working principle is that two transistors control the input and output voltage, while the inductor and capacitor are used to control the current and voltage of the output.The input voltage is rectified by the full-bridge rectifier to the DC voltage, then this voltage is converted to smaller voltage by the two switches which are controlled by the sensing circuit. The sensing circuit monitors the output voltage and accordingly shifts the duty cycle of the transistor, to control the output voltage. The current flows through the inductor which reduces the voltage amplitude. As the current passes through the diode, the voltage is stabilized by the capacitor, and the output voltage is finally obtained.
