There are many topologies of DC-DC converters ranging from basic pulse width modulated (PWM) converters to complex multi-phase interleaved buck-boost converters. Among these converters, the vector controlled buck-boost transformer-coupled converter (VE-BTF-CV) is a topology of great interest due to its low component count and small size solution ideal for applications such as power factor correction, uninterruptible power supplies and military power requirements.The VE-BTF-CV converter utilizes buck-boost transformers in order to operate over a wide input voltage range.
