The VE-J2N-EY is a widely used DC-DC converter, which can convert a DC voltage from one level to another regardless of frequency or load. It is a high performance and highly reliable DC-DC power conversion system with wide input voltage range, high efficiency, and minimal intrusion into system bus noise. In addition, the VE-J2N-EY can be used in most industrial, medical, communications, military, and aerospace applications.The VE-J2N-EY DC-DC converter takes a DC input voltage of up to 26 Vdc from a power supply or battery and steps it down to a lower voltage and current range for use with the system components. This makes the power supply substantially smaller, more efficient, and lighter than traditional power supply components. The VE-J2N-EY can also step up low voltage inputs to higher voltage levels.The VE-J2N-EY utilizes a switching pulse-width modulation (SPWM) control technique to regulate the output voltage level to very high accuracies, including variations in load, temperature, and incoming voltage. SPWM works in synchronizing the input voltage waveform with the main output voltage waveform. In this manner, the output voltage is regulated by changing the duty cycle, or averaging width, of the input voltage compared with the main output voltage waveform. The VE-J2N-EY\'s switching frequency is adjustable to enable different converters a wide range of load and input voltage conditions.The VE-J2N-EY\'s SPWM control technique is capable of handling complex load scenarios, from lightly loaded transformer and capacitor banks to heavily loaded solenoids and motors. It also provides very low output voltage ripple, which is beneficial for sensitive electronics and microprocessors.The VE-J2N-EY utilizes two distinct physical models, the classical constant voltage/constant current (CV/CC) model and the advanced "logic control" architecture. The constant voltage/constant current (CV/CC) model is the most commonly utilized method for controlling the output voltage and current. It utilizes a “two-loop” control system in which two feedback control loops regulate the output voltage and current levels. The regulating systems include: (1) a control loop for maintaining constant output voltage and (2) a control loop for maintaining constant output current. This model is useful for stable and accurate power supplies and is the most popular power conversion architecture. The second model of the VE-J2N-EY is the “logic control” architecture. This methodology applies a digital IF (intermediate frequency) output control, which allows superior dynamic control, while achieving a very low audible noise level. The output voltage and current are regulated by a digital real-time system which provides the user with fast and accurate performance, as well as precise voltage and current adjustment and protection control functions. This architecture is ideal for applications which require superior dynamic response, complex switching, and very low output frequency ripple.The VE-J2N-EY\'s combination of logic control and the CV/CC architecture ensures that it is capable of operating in a wide range of load and input voltage conditions. In addition, the unit features a wide range of built-in protection measures, including over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, reverse polarity protection, and surge suppression. This helps keep the system safe from unexpected power surges or momentary overloads.Overall, the VE-J2N-EY is a highly efficient and reliable DC-DC converter for a variety of industrial, medical, communications, military, and aerospace applications.
