The rectifier uses a switching circuit to convert the input voltage into an adjustable output voltage. The booster is used to increase the output current. Both parts together ensure that the desired voltage and current levels are maintained throughout the conversion process.

The single-channel voltage converter is a simpler device, consisting of only one part: the primary side rectifier. It still provides an adjustable output voltage, ranging from 0.8V to 5V, but it does not have the additional booster to increase the output current. Therefore, SCVCs are more suitable for devices that require only low current levels.
