DC-DC converters are power uninterruptible power supply technology used to convert direct current (DC) from one voltage level to another. The VI-20R-MY-S is designed to provide a reliable, cost-effective, industrial-grade power source for a variety of applications.

This high-efficiency converter is based on the COTS technology. The module operates from a wide input voltage range of 10.8V to 18V DC and can deliver up to 4A of output current. It features automatic input under-voltage cut-off protection, thermal overload protection, and adjustable over-voltage protection.

The VI-20R-MY-S can be used in a variety of applications, including in computer server power system, networking devices, and DC automation systems. The device is designed for applications requiring supplies of 100 W or lower. Its highest efficiency can reach up to 95%, with an output voltage range of 12V to 16.5V DC.

Utilizing an active modulation technique, the VI-20R-MY-S can provide excellent output noise performance. The advanced control IC provides fast transient response times (500us) and excellent cycle-by-cycle current limiting capability (5A) to ensure safe operation in harsh environments. The control IC can compensate up to 1% ouput voltage variations with respect to line and load changes.

The VI-20R-MY-S has a wide operating temperature range from -40 to +70°C and is available in an industry-standard SIP-8 package. It is UL/cUL, CB, TUV/GS, CE, RCM and BSMI certified.

The VI-20R-MY-S module works on the principle of converting the input voltage into either a higher or lower voltage, while the electrical energy is transferred from the input to the output via an electronic switch. The upper and lower side circuitry generates a waveform which is then filtered to create a constant output voltage.

The switching circuitry is controlled by the internal control IC, which regulates the average output voltage according to an internal reference. It adjusts the average voltage by changing the on-time of the switching frequency, and performs automatic line and load compensation to ensure voltage stability.

The input and output filtering circuits of the VI-20R-MY-S are designed for maximum conversion efficiency and to prevent switching noise from entering the power supply. The device includes an input decoupling circuit, a low-pass filter and a transient filter circuit to ensure that the output voltage remains within the specified voltage range.

The VI-20R-MY-S module is an excellent choice for high reliability applications which require wide input voltage range, high output voltage accuracy, and low power consumption. It is an affordable solution that is easy to install and configure.
