It offers an operating input voltage range from 4.5-25V DC and has a continuous output current of up to 25A. It also includes various protection features such as the over temperature, overload and short circuit protections.

The application field of the VI-25V-EX-S DC converter includes a wide range of DC input driven industrial applications such as telecommunications, solar energy, power supplies, motor control, automotive, and HVAC. The device is suitable for driving single as well as three phase PMSMs, BLDCs, AC and DC motors.Its high efficiency and wide input voltage makes it perfect for powering various intelligent systems such as PLCs, computers, mobile devices and other automation systems.

The VI-25V-EX-S DC converter works on the principle of PWM (Pulse Wave-Modulation) Control. It uses a high frequency switched DC-DC converter topology based on the FET as its main switch. The power circuitry is composed of an MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor), transformer and filter capacitor.When the PWM signal is low, the switches are closed, allowing current to flow through the transformer primary winding. When the PWM signal is high, the switches are opened, stopping the current flow. This alternating process creates a varying magnetic filed in the transformer\'s core and thereby producing a clean, noise free output voltage.
