VI-261-CY-F1 Application Field and Working Principle

VI-261-CY-F1is a DC-DC converter with a high power density and high efficiency. It is a “push-pull” type converter designed to provide a regulated output voltage from a wide input voltage range, regardless of the input voltage polarity. The VI-261-CY-F1 converter is a two-stage (aka 2-stage) converter, with an input filter stage, a dc–dc stage and an output filter stage. The input filter stage is composed of a bridge diode, inductor, capacitor, EMI filter, resistor and signal conditioning circuitry. It also provides surge protection to ensure the VI-261-CY-F1 converter will not be damaged by high voltage transients. The dc–dc converter stage is composed of a bridge rectifier, chopper, switch, voltage regulator, and feedback circuitry. This stage is responsible for providing a stable output voltage. The output filter stage is composed of a voltage regulator and filter components such as an inductor and capacitor. This stage is responsible for maintaining a low output ripple.
