Dc to Dc converters are used in a variety of applications for converting direct current (DC) to an alternative voltage or current. The VI-26K-CY-B1 is one such converter and it is capable of providing both isolated and non-isolated output for DC to DC conversion. This converter, often referred to as a ‘DC/DC buck converter’, has a wide range of possible uses, depending on the specific target application. The filtered output voltage of this stage is determined by the forward voltage drop of the diode and other filter component efficiencies. This output is further conditioned by a low-pass filter before it is applied to the output terminals.In addition to providing DC to DC conversion, the VI-26K-CY-B1 can also provide isolation between the input and output circuits using an internal transformer.
