DC-DC converters are devices that can convert an unrefined direct current (DC) power signal into a regulated DC power signal. They are used to convert consumer-level voltage from 120V or 230V AC to one of many well-defined DC outputs, such as 5V, 12V, 24V, and 48V, or to power other electrical and electronic systems. VI-27H-EY Application Field and Working Principle

The VI-27H-EY is a cost-effective, high efficiency, and high power DC-DC converter suitable for various applications including industrial control, telecommunication, digital electronic, medical, display, power systems and lighting. The converter is composed of a controller board, an input transformer, and an output transistor, enabling conversion from an AC input (180-264VAC) to a DC output (200A/100V~800V).

The working principle of the VI-27H-EY can be divided into three stages. The first stage is the input rectification and transformation process, which involves voltage rectification by the diode bridge rectifier and Hertz transformation by the input transformer to generate an AC signal around the DC level. The second stage is the PWM controller stage, which receives the rectified and transformed AC signal and generates a square wave signal for the driving of the output transistor. The last stage is the output transistor stage, which utilizes the square wave signal to generate a constant DC output.

The advantage of using this converter is that voltage conversion is more efficient and also allows for greater power output. Moreover, the VI-27H-EY converter provides an overload protection mechanism to prevent any damages to the system, as well as an adjustable fan speed to optimize the PMW controller’s heat dissipation. This converter is also approved for UL60950 and CE certifications.
