VI-2TP-IW Application Field and Working Principle

VI-2TP-IW, which stands for Voltage-input-2-Terminal-Power-Isolation-Waterproof, is a DC-DC converter used in applications which require galvanic protection across the DC power supply. It is commonly used in automotive, telecommunications, CCTV, and industrial control applications. The VI-2TP-IW DC-DC converter provides galvanic isolation between the input and output side of the power supply, allowing for greater safety in terms of electric shock and power surge.

The working principle of a VI-2TP-IW is quite simple. A transformer is used to transfer the electric current from one voltage level to another. The transformer has two windings, one connected to the input voltage level and the other connected to the output voltage level.
