In this type of circuit, an integrated circuit, or IC, acts as a switching device between an input voltage source and an output voltage source. The IC works by repeatedly turning the power pass transistor on and off at a specified rate, creating a pulse-width-modulated signal. The duty cycle of this signal determines the output voltage in a feedback-controlled loop, allowing the user to adjust the output voltage to a given value. The pulse frequency of the output signal is typically much higher than the lowest frequency of the output current, allowing the transfer of power with a much higher efficiency.The VI-B0M-EX-F1 also utilizes a synchronous rectification technology for enhanced power conversion efficiency.
