When the transistor is off, the energy in the inductor is stored and when the transistor is on, the energy in the inductor is released and fed to the output circuit. The output voltage is regulated by controlling the duty cycle of the transistor, and the output current is regulated by controlling the frequency of the switching. In addition to its high efficiency and high performance, the VI-BVY-MX also offers protection features, including overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, and thermal protection.
