Working Principle:
VI-J62-IX-F3 is based on the use of two transformer windings that use separate high frequency switching circuits. The primary winding is connected to the input voltage and is used to step down the input voltage to the desired output voltage. The second transformer winding is then used to step up the secondary voltage to a voltage level suitable for the load being supplied. By using a high frequency switching circuit, the primary winding is rapidly switched on and off, creating a pulsating DC voltage at the output of the second transformer winding. This pulsating DC voltage is then converted to a regulated DC voltage by a low pass LC filter.
VI-J62-IX-F3 converters can also be used to provide an isolated DC output from a wide system input voltage. This is accomplished by connecting the two windings in opposite directions and providing additional circuitry to ensure that the voltage on the primary and secondary windings remain isolated from one another.
