The wide input range also makes it suitable for a variety of projects and applications, including those that require step-down, step-up, or battery backup operations.The working principle of the VI-JTM-CZ-B1 DC-DC converter is quite straightforward. The device consists of two main components—the control IC and the power section—and is capable of working in both voltage and current-mode control. In the voltage-mode, the power section of the device operates through input voltage regulation, while in the current-mode, the device does not actually regulate the input voltage, but rather monitors the output current and adjusts its duty cycle accordingly.The device works like this: First, the power section takes in the input voltage and converts it into an adjustable DC voltage rail, while the control IC then monitors the output current demand and adjusts the duty cycle to meet the load demand. This is done by use of a pulse-width-modulation (PWM). When the current demand is lower than the input voltage, the duty cycle is increased, and when the current demand is higher than the input voltage, the duty cycle is decreased. This is how the device is able to maintain a very high output accuracy despite the wide input voltage range.In addition to the wide input voltage range and high output accuracy, the VI-JTM-CZ-B1 DC-DC converter also offers features such as: over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, over/under-current protection, soft-start, and dynamic voltage scaling (DVS). This makes the VI-JTM-CZ-B1 an ideal choice for a wide variety of projects and applications that require high power levels, high efficiency, and precise power delivery.
