Other main applications include DC-DC conversion and rectification of heating elements.Working principle of the VS-26MB80A Bridge Rectifier:The VS-26MB80A bridge rectifier consists of four diodes wired in such a way as to form a bridge. It is made up of 4 diodes which are arranged in a bridge configuration as shown below. The two input terminals of the bridge connected to the AC supply are labeled A and B, while the two output terminals connected to the DC load are labeled C and D. When an AC source is connected to the two input terminals, A and B, current flows through the diodes in the direction of the arrows represented in the diagram above. When the positive half cycle of the input voltage is applied to the two input terminals, two diodes (D1 and D3) are forward biased and the other two are reversed biased, so the current only flows through these two diodes. During the negative half cycle of the voltage, the two reversed biased diodes (D2 and D4) become forward biased and the other two reversed biased, so current flows through the other two diodes. In this manner, the AC is converted to DC, thus rectifying the AC signal.The VS-26MB80A bridge rectifier has a peak forward current of 80A and a peak forward voltage of 600V. The peak reverse voltage it can withstand is 400V and it has a blocking voltage of 1000V. It is also equipped with an ultra-low forward voltage drop and an ultra-low power consumption of 0.75 watts. It has a high temperature resistance and is suitable for use in high temperature environments.
