WP7104SGC is an indicator of LED, which is classified as Discrete type.The WP7104SGC, a discrete LED indicator with a 10-bit (1 byte) segmented display, is a comprehensive solution for signal indication and data display applications. This device features low power consumption, long life, and excellent EMI performance. It has a red, green, or orange numeric display that can be used to display digits from 0 to 15. This device is applied in a variety of electronic devices such as car gauges, office electronic devices, and other digital communication equipment.
The WP7104SGC has a 3-wire interface and one-click mode. The three pins include common anode (GND), common cathode (VCC), and data pin (DATA). The common anode is connected to the ground terminal of the power supply while the common cathode is connected to the positive terminal of the power supply. The data pin is connected to a data bus which contains the data to be displayed. It is powered by 5V DC and can be powered by either a 9V battery or a 12V AC source.
The WP7104SGC is able to decode and display a combination of different input data sequences. Each segment is assigned a unique segment number from 0 to 15. Every segment has different colours, including green, red, yellow, orange and blue. The two common anODE and cathode terminals are connected to the negative and positive terminals of the external DC power supply respectively, while the data pin is connected to the data registers of the external digital device.
