The X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1 is a multi-purpose expansion board for X-NUCLEO series compatible with Arduino and ST morpho connectors. Of all the evaluation boards –s expansion boards, daughter cards, the X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1 is one of the most widely used of its kind due to its wide range of application fields. This board makes it possible to control low-voltage and high-current applications, such as motor control. And also implements communication protocols with other boards in a master-slave setup, such as CAN, LIN, etc. Besides, the board also comes with a dedicated firmware library for registering and executing processes. This allows for complete control of the complete system.

The X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1 comes with comprehensive evaluation tools for its application fields; thus, enabling a simplified yet comprehensive working platform for developers. Its motor-control algorithms help to control the power components with greater accuracy and tact. The integrated timer and PWM modules provide fast and secure protection for the system against short circuits. In terms of working principle, the X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1 board is powered by an advanced A800 processor. This processor is capable of managing up to four high-current, low-voltage drivers in a single power package. It can synchronize up to four motor-control signals and can also manage communication protocols, such as SPI, CAN, LIN, and UART. Furthermore, the processor has an integrated power measurement unit that collects and regulates the power flow. This unit also enables precise control of the power consumption and reduces the overall power consumption of the system.
