X-NUCLEO-IHM11M1 is an ST Evaluation board for three phase brushless DC motor control in an I2C-controlled 2EDN7555 six half-bridge configuration. Working Principle
X-NUCLEO-IHM11M1 is based on ST\'s 2EDN7555, a half-bridge driver with integrated temperature sensing and current sensing for a 3-phase brushless DC motor. It features advanced diagnostics for motor over-temperature protection, open-phase detection, and short-circuit detection. It also features a 60V bootstrap for driving the floating gate of an external high/low-side MOSFET.
X-NUCLEO-IHM11M1 board is compatible with the STM32 Nucleo boards. It includes a magnetically-broadcasted ST Morpho connector and an I2C bus connector for communication with the STM32 Nucleo board. The connector includes a programmable voltage reference for I2C Voltage Level Shifting and a PWM signal for motor speed control. This daughter board integrates a dual MOSFET driver with integrated current sensing and a low-side, integrated temperature sensor.
The board allow developers to control the rotor position using the high/low-side MOSFETs, motor speed using PWM, enable/disable motor control, and set various parameters.
