The XR16L2751IMTR-F is a single universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART) integrated circuit, designed to provide full-duplex asynchronous communications with minimum external components. This universally applicable UART has a 32-byte receive (RX) and a 32-byte transmit (TX) buffer, which allows for high-speed frequency rates without compromising data transmission. The integrated UART has a dedicated operating mode that integrates numerous advanced features such as an automatic format detect and auto-baud rate option. It also has buffering, configurable flow control and a character-level acknowledge protocol.
