The XR16V564IJTR-F is an integrated single-chip solution for seamless connection in the industrial, automotive, and medical industries. It is a high-performance, full-duplex design that allows two independent data paths to communicate simultaneously. The device is compatible with UARTs (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitters) and supports various protocols such as RS-232/422/485, ISA BIOS, SMBus, and USB. It also comes with robust EMI/RFI filtering capabilities and wide operating temperature ranges.The XR16V564IJTR-F is an ideal solution for applications requiring local and remote data transfers, such as polling and daisy-chain architectures. High-speed data transmission is achieved with a 9.6Kbps to 5Mbps data rate. The receiver features a programmable baud rate generator for asynchronous modes and a Monostable Enabled Receiver (MER) for synchronous applications. On-chip arbitration logic supports multi-drop communication protocols such as RS-485.The XR16V564IJTR-F features four independent hardware UARTs with fully independent baud-rate generators and four DMA channels. It is capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and supports a wide range of baud rates, up to 6M bps. All of the UARTs support the industry-standard 8-bit, 9-bit, 10-bit and 16-bit UART data formats. The receivers support 1-wire protocol, while the transmitters offer FIFO synchronization and framing detection.The XR16V564IJTR-F also includes two SPI slave/master ports, four I2C master/slave ports, two serial ports and an event interrrupt controller. The event interrupt controller offers an easy way to detect events, such as a user-defined bit-pattern, and generate a flag for interrupting the processor. The on-chip pulse-width modulators, timers, PWM generators, and other peripherals are all integrated in the XR16V564IJTR-F controller and can be used for various customizations.With integrated support for up to 28 GPIO lines, the XR16V564IJTR-F also supports advanced features such as three-phase inverter-style drive control and pulse-width modulation. This makes it very suitable for applications such as motor controllers, switched-mode power supplies, on-board diagnostic systems, and other motion control applications.The XR16V564IJTR-F is built using a 0.35-micron CMOS process technology, which gives it outstanding noise resistance and a wide 4 to 5.5V operating range. Its low power consumption also makes it suitable for battery-powered applications.Overall, the XR16V564IJTR-F is a versatile, high-performance solution for applications requiring universal asynchronous receiver transmitters, with robust data filtering capabilities, wide temperature ranges, and advanced interface options.
