XRP7674EVB belongs to a family of evaluation boards designed by Texas Instruments, called Evaluation Boards - DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. As the name suggests, these boards are used to evaluate the performance of Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) that employ either DC/DC or AC/DC topologies. This evaluation board is specifically designed for applications such as LED driver, offline AC/DC power supply, TV backlight etc.

The XRP7674EVB evaluation board is a complete design solution that that provides a reference platform for expert designers to quickly evaluate and debug Multi-Channel, Multi-Mode Synchronous Buck (SynBuck™) converters. This evaluation board includes the XRP7674, an integrated synchronous buck IC that can be used to drive up to four LEDs present in a buck topology with four voltage outputs. The board also includes a single-ended, switch-mode buck-boost (SMBB) converter which can be used to drive white LEDs and LED backlight applications.

The board\'s DC/DC output employs an adjustable output voltage divider network to help designers to run their tests with a wide range of static and switching outputs. The output voltage divider can also be used to power different types of LED voltages. This is an important feature of the board that allows designers to use it in a wide range of LED applications.

The board also features an integrated control logic that allows the designer to program the IC. It includes various options for single-channel or multi-channel operation as well as various switching frequencies for single or multi-channel operation, allowing the designer to fine tune the switching regulation to meet their specific application needs.

The integrated logic also allows designers to switch between many different operating modes to suit a wide range of applications.
