The standard-pitch version has a 130mm pitch and a 50mm row spacing, while the fine-pitch version has a 130mm pitch and a 20mm row spacing. Both versions are available in 8, 12, and 16 rows.

The YTQ-130-03-F-Q connector has 8 terminal positions per contact row, with positions 0 through 7 assigned to both sides of the connector array. The array features multiple ground contacts at either end to ensure reliable electrical contact, 3 mating points per row to provide multiple contact points and allow high current carrying capacity, and a high-performance mating system. The contacts are rated at 1A current carrying capacity.

The connector also utilizes a unique mating system to couple the two connectors. This system uses a ratcheting mechanism to ensure reliable mating and unmating by means of a spring-loaded grip ring combined with an actuator plunger.
