When the detected temperature reaches the threshold value for one of the stages, the output will go to an active state, either high or low. When the temperature returns to its normal value, the output will go to its inactive state.The SM72480SD-125/NOPB also includes an open-collector/drain output for connection to a load circuit. This output is capable of driving up to 15mA of current directly, or up to 40mA when buffered. This output also has an on-resistance of 0.4 ohms and a propagation delay of 20 microseconds.In addition to temperature sensing and control, the SM72480SD-125/NOPB offers many other features and advantages that make it a good choice for temperature sensing applications. It has a temperature accuracy of ±2°C and a temperature resolution of 1°C. It also supports multiple operating modes, such as cycle-by-cycle enabling, time delay, scalable setpoint monitoring, and hysteretic control.
