Varistors, also called voltage dependent resistors (VDRs), are a special class of semiconductor technology that have a very high resistance as a function of voltage. The V480LS80BPX10 is a metal oxide varistor device designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic devices and sensitive circuitry from transient voltage spikes.
