The LMP91000EVM/NOPB Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits supplied by Texas Instruments provide a comprehensive framework for the evaluation and demonstration of the LMP91000 Precision BiCMOS OpAmp. It offers a solution for single- or multi-channel, medium frequency and nanosecond level precision applications such as precision motor control, amplifier filtering, and data acquisition. The LMP91000EVM/NOPB is designed to be used with a PC or an oscilloscope to enable testing of the LMP91000\'s performance characteristics in real-world situatuions. Furthermore, this board is well-suited for evaluating the advantages of the LMP91000 over traditional opamp solutions.
The LMP91000EVM/NOPB provides on-board precision resistance and capacitance networks for easy evaluation of the opamp transfer function accuracy. On the board there are three SOT23 headers for connection to external circuitry, as well as two high-speed s-parameter connectors which can be used for measuring bandwidth, settling time, and distortions. Additionally, the board also includes an LED indicator to provide a visual indication of proper device functionality.
The main component of the LMP91000EVM/NOPB is the LMP91000 Precision BiCMOS OpAmp. This device features a fully-differential, self-biasing, Quad Precision BiCMOS amplifier structure which enable precise, low-noise, high-bandwidth performance. The opamp is designed to accept a wide range of voltage inputs and features an output voltage swing of +/-150 mV across the full operating temperature range. The LMP91000 is designed for medium-frequency applications, up to 200MHz signals, and features ultralow distortion and low noise for nanosecond-level precision.
The LMP91000EVM/NOPB uses an external single-supply voltage of +2.7V to +4.5V which powers the LMP91000 opamp. Also included on the board are on-board power decoupling capacitors and resistors to ensure clean power to the device. The board also contains an LMP91000-enable/shutdown switch which can be used to enable the amplifier and provide a +1.47V internal voltage for controlling external circuitry.
The LMP91000EVM/NOPB can be used with an oscilloscope or PC to evaluate the performance characteristics of the LMP91000 Precision BiCMOS OpAmp. Using a PC, the user can easily display the transfer function of the amp, evaluate the settling time, measure noise and distortion, and analyze the frequency response of the amp. Additionally, the user can perform comprehensive tests such as slew rate testing and overload current testing with the LMP91000EVM/NOPB.
The LMP91000EVM/NOPB offers a comprehensive solution for the evaluation and demonstration of the LMP91000 Precision BiCMOS OpAmp. The actual evaluation board includes an on-board precision resistance and capacitance network, LED indicator, and external circuitry connections, which when used with an oscilloscope or PC can be used to evaluate the performance characteristics of the LMP91000. It is well-suited for evaluating the advantages of the LMP91000 over traditional opamp solutions, and is an ideal solution for single- or multi-channel, medium frequency and nanosecond level precision applications.
